NOTES: The Contender is packed with salty black olive, concentrated blackberry, crushed stone, wild mushrooms, violets, density and warmth. Ripe, oily texture, intensity, silky tannins and cascading finish. With only a 2% Marsanne co-fermentation, this wine has such an identity and would pair wonderfully with a Veal Shank, Wagyu steak, or Korean BBQ. I think The Contender will age beautifully for 10-15 years.
