Notes: Platt Vineyard Estate Pinot Noir is crafted to highlight the expressive, high-toned character of the West Sonoma Coast, beginning with carefully sorted, destemmed fruit fermented in small open-top stainless steel tanks. A cold soak and tailored extraction methods ensure gentle handling, while aging for 14 months in 60-gallon French oak barrels (35% new) builds texture and complexity. Sourced from a blend of clones—Pommard, 777, 828, and Swan—grown across diverse blocks of the coastal vineyard, the wine captures the site’s radiant energy and aromatic diversity. On the palate, it reveals vivid notes of wild strawberry, cherry, pomegranate, and hibiscus, layered with tarragon, rose petal, orange zest, and damp earth. Fine tannins and refreshing acidity frame the wine’s coastal purity, making it detailed, lithe, and already beautifully drinkable with excellent aging potential.
