Fermented in small open-top stainless steel tanks following a cold soak, the wine undergoes tailored extraction and is aged for 14 months in 60-gallon French oak barrels (34% new) to build depth and finesse. Sourced from blocks that combine power and freshness, with the Calera clone as the predominant component, this Reserve bottling reflects the vineyard’s coastal intensity and mineral precision. Aromatically complex, it opens with dark berries, lavender, and sage, while the palate reveals muscular tension and sleek minerality, layered with blood orange, licorice, pine needle, and black tea. Dense yet vibrant, it finishes with polished tannins and a refined, persistent mineral edge that speaks to the pedigree of the site.
