AVAILABILITY: 3 BOTTLES IN STOCKNotes: Richardson Ranch Pinot Noir from Littorai is sourced from a south-facing slope at 760–800 feet elevation, just four and a half miles from the Pacific Ocean near Annapolis in northwestern Sonoma County. Planted in 2015, the vineyard features shallow, low-vigor Goldridge loam soils—just 6 to 12 inches of topsoil—making the Littorai block the most austere on the property. It is farmed organically, though not certified, and includes a diverse mix of clones: Swan, Mount Eden, 943, Calera, 777, 667, 114, and Littorai’s own field selection. In 2023, the vineyard yielded 2.69 tons per acre. The wine is aged in French oak, with a portion being new, and reflects Littorai’s philosophy of minimal intervention to highlight site expression. Tasting notes reveal vibrant layers of raspberry, cassis, blackberry, and rhubarb, accented by spice and tea leaf, with firm tannins, richness, and bright acidity.
