Notes: This parcel is located next to the family parcel of Richebourg to the north. It is believed that the name originates from the natural vegetation catching fire during the summer months because of the highly drained, dry soil. The soil is very stony with a 30 to 35cm thickness, and the subsoil is made of hard limestone. This wine offers a great minerality; similar to Richebourg from which it is separated only by a 3-meter-wide lane. But the soil, which is not as thick as the Richebourg's, which brings more softness to the tannins and makes it more rapidly accessible. The wine is aged in 50% new oak.Aromatically the wine is perfumed with a combination of cherries and blueberries, as well as delicately aged purple flowers. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied with brambly berry fruits, peppercorns, and smooth tannins.
