Notes: The grapes of three parcels compose this cuvée which originate from the vineyards: Aux Réas, Au-Dessus de la Rivière, and La Colombière. All three parcels are located close to the village. Au-Dessus de la Rivière and La Colombière are located upon beds of clay-limestone on Oligocene strata, which are called 'Salmon conglomerates' because of their salmon-pink color. Aux Réas lays on hard limestone soils on Bajocian strata. These marls which are alternated with limestone blocks produce very soft and elegant wines. The wine sees one-third new oak before bottling.
Aromatically the wine has predominate notes of delicately aged violets and brambly, nearly damp red fruits. On the palate, the wine introduces a bit of dark berry fruits alongside the red, with fine-grained tannins and uplifhting acidity.
